On February 28, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Warodom Weerapun, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at the College of Computing, Prince of Songkla University, was invited as a speaker at a seminar titled “Applying Blockchain Technology to Support Hospital Pharmacy Operations Toward Pharma 4.0.”
The seminar was held at the Science Park, Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus, and aimed to provide knowledge and practical insights into the application of blockchain technology in pharmaceutical operations within hospital settings.
This activity was part of a research project titled “The Development of a Collaborative Drug Sharing Support System within the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Using Blockchain Technology for Hospital Networks in Songkhla Province.” The project focuses on enhancing the efficiency of pharmaceutical management in public hospitals by improving security, transparency, and reducing waste within the healthcare system.
The event was organized by the Department of Business Administration (Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program), Faculty of Management Sciences, in collaboration with the Sustainable Logistics and Supply Chain Management Center, Faculty of Environmental Management, Prince of Songkla University.
The primary participants were hospital pharmacists from public hospitals in Songkhla Province, who gained valuable knowledge on blockchain technology and its practical applications in pharmaceutical services. This initiative supports the advancement toward Pharma 4.0, which emphasizes the use of digital technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of drug and medical supply management.
