ภูเก็ต (28 มีนาคม 2026) – วิทยาลัยการคอมพิวเตอร์ ม.อ.ภูเก็ต (COC PSU Phuket) ตอกย้ำความเป็นผู้นำนวัตกรรมระดับสากล จัดงาน Hackathon “Transforming Your Southern Thailand with Innovation x Circular Economy” 
ภายใต้โครงการ ERASMUS+ KODECET ที่ได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจากสหภาพยุโรป โดยร่วมมือกับมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำจากฟินแลนด์ ออสเตรีย อินเดีย และไทย เพื่อยกระดับความยั่งยืนให้เป็นรูปธรรม 
งานในครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญระดับแนวหน้าร่วมตัดสิน:

แพลตฟอร์มลดขยะพลาสติกจากภาคการท่องเที่ยวในภาคใต้และเปลี่ยนเป็นวัตถุดิบสร้างมูลค่าและรายได้ให้ชุมชน โดยคณะการบริการและการท่องเที่ยว (FHT) 
รางวัลนวัตกรรมรองชนะเลิศอันดับหนึ่ง (5,000 บาท): ผลงาน “Parasol from Palm Leaf”
ร่มชายหาดกันน้ำจากเส้นใยปาล์มและสารเคลือบกันน้ำจากเมล็ดยางพารา โดยคณะการบริการและการท่องเที่ยว (FHT) 
รางวัลนวัตกรรมรองชนะเลิศอันดับสอง (3,000 บาท): ผลงาน “Rebuild from Waste to Wonder”
โมเดลกำจัดขยะพลาสติกแลกเป็นส่วนลดเพื่อใช้จ่ายในชุมชน โดยวิทยาลัยการคอมพิวเตอร์ (COC) 
ก้าวสำคัญสู่ “พิมพ์เขียวแห่งความยั่งยืน” 
งานครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่สร้างโมเดลธุรกิจที่แก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมและการท่องเที่ยวในภูเก็ตได้จริง แต่ยังเป็นการสร้างบุคลากรที่มีทักษะ Digital Strategy และ Circular Economy ซึ่งเป็นที่ต้องการของตลาดงานระดับโลก ถือเป็นความสำเร็จในการเชื่อมโยงวิชาการสากลสู่การปฏิบัติในท้องถิ่น เพื่อสร้างระบบนิเวศนวัตกรรมที่เข้มแข็งให้ภาคใต้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน 
PSU Phuket Empowers Gen-Z Innovators to Drive Southern Thailand’s Circular Economy via ERASMUS+ KODECET Project 
Phuket (March 28, 2026) – The College of Computing, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus (COC PSU Phuket), reinforces its global innovation leadership by hosting the Hackathon “Transforming Your Southern Thailand with Innovation x Circular Economy.” Part of the EU-funded ERASMUS+ KODECET project, this initiative collaborates with leading universities from Finland, Austria, India, and Thailand to turn sustainability into a tangible reality.
The event was honored by a panel of top-tier industry experts as judges:
-Mr. Rangsimant Kingkaew (President of the Phuket Tourism Council)
-Mr. Thanawat Ongcharoen (Executive Vice President of the Thai Hotels Association Southern Chapter)
-Mr. Suchai Wachirawarakan (Managing Director of Thai Fresh Farm Co., Ltd.)
-Ms. Napaphat Wisetsing (Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries, Phuket Chapter)
-Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanita Areerob (Assessor for Green Hotel Plus)

Winner (10,000 THB Prize): “South Circular Connect”
A platform by the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT) designed to reduce plastic waste from the southern tourism sector by transforming it into raw materials that generate value and income for local communities.
First Runner-up (5,000 THB Prize): “Parasol from Palm Leaf”
A waterproof beach umbrella made from palm fibers and rubber seed coating, developed by the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT).
Second Runner-up (3,000 THB Prize): “Rebuild from Waste to Wonder”
A plastic waste disposal model where waste can be exchanged for community spending discounts, created by the College of Computing (COC).
A Major Step Toward a “Sustainability Blueprint”
This event did more than just create business models to solve real environmental and tourism issues in Phuket; it also cultivated talent with skills in Digital Strategy and the Circular Economy, which are highly demanded in the global job market. This success marks a vital bridge between international academia and local practice, building a strong innovation ecosystem for the sustainable growth of Southern Thailand.
