ระหว่างวันที่ 9-10 มีนาคม 2567 นักศึกษาจากวิทยาลัยการคอมพิวเตอร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ วิทยาเขตภูเก็ต จำนวน 7 คน ได้รับคัดเลือกเข้าร่วมงาน The 4th International Research Workshop in Computer Science and Information Systems ซึ่งจัดโดย School of Computing แห่ง National University of Singapore ร่วมกับเครือข่ายมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศไทย ณ โรงแรมเดวิส กรุงเทพฯ นักศึกษาที่ได้รับคัดเลือก ประกอบด้วย

ภายในงานนี้ นักศึกษาได้ความรู้ พัฒนาทักษะ และปฏิบัติการวิจัยในด้านวิทยาการคอมพิวเตอร์และเทคโนโลยี เช่น การวิเคราะห์กีฬา (sport analytics), การจัดการควอนตัม (quantum optimization), ทฤษฎีเกม (game theory), การวิเคราะห์การท่องเที่ยว (tourism analytics), โมเดลภาษาขนาดใหญ่ (large language models) และการสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจทางคลินิกด้วย AI (AI Clinical Decision Support) เป็นต้น

จากการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม มีการประกวดการเขียน SOP หรือ State of Purpose โดยคณะกรรมการจัดงาน โดยผลการพิจารณารางวัล เป็นดังนี้

On March 9-10, 2024, seven students from the College of Computing, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, were selected to participate in “The 4th International Research Workshop in Computer Science and Information Systems” organized by the School of Computing of the National University of Singapore, in collaboration with a network of universities in Thailand. The event was held at the Deves Hotel in Bangkok. The selected students were:

The 4th International Research Workshop in Computer Science and Information Systems aims to provide undergraduate and graduate student participants who are considering pursuing graduate studies in a Master’s or PhD program in computing, either in Thailand, Singapore, France, or elsewhere, with an opportunity to acquire, develop, and exercise research skills in cutting-edge areas of computer science and technology. These areas include sports analytics, quantum optimization, game theory, tourism analytics, large language models, and AI clinical decision support systems. The selection process for participants is highly selective to facilitate personalized and privileged interactions between the students and leading researchers in these domains. This intensive workshop exposes participants to advanced research topics and methodologies, enabling them to gain valuable experience and insights that can inform their future academic and career paths in computing and technology fields.
