On 18 February 2020, Dr. Sakib Jalil, Design Consultant, Telstra Purple & Guest Lecturer and Mentor, Sydney University, Australia gave a special talk under the title “Fifty Shades of Design: Problem-solving by Design” for academic staff of CoC. This talk was aimed at introducing various shades of applications of design for problem-solving and how does design thinking influence the design of organizational alignment and problem-solving in research. Furthermore, this talk also demonstrates a series of work from Dr. Sakib Jalil’s Ph.D., postdoc, and industry experiences. The participants have taken on new knowledge of design thinking which therefore can be promoted and used in future academic teaching and research project.
